"Ooo I wanna take you down to kokomo"

Small update..

Two new MST3k covers for 705 - Escape 2000, and 802 - The Leech Woman.

And I'm happy to announce that MST3kDVDCovers.com is now proudly hosting covers by MrTorso for Mike Nelson's RiffTrax! Cocktail, the first of hopefully many more, is now listed in the DVD Covers section.

"Looks like someone got refuelled this weekend..."

I've added a How To section, covering usage of the MST3K cover template and uploading covers to this site. I've also added four more covers since the last update.

I will host slimcase covers if anybody out there has made any. Since I use keepcases exclusively, I won't be making any myself. But I'll host them if there's interest.

There has been an inquiry about hosting covers for Rifftrax releases. So, the new policy is, if it's related in any way to MST3K (projects by cast/crew, for example), I'll host it as long as it does not violate any copyright laws. Yeah, I know, the whole MST3K DVD community is on shaky ground when it comes to copyrights. So, I'm lenient about hosting derivative works, but will have to be strict about more obvious violations.

And I do have a request. I am looking for high res images of the SOL set. If you see the back of the covers hosted here, and of the official Rhino releases, they use an image of the desk and door to the tunnel (also seen on the label of the Manos disc). I'm looking for similar images, in as high a resolution as can be had. I can be e-mailed at darkflounder@gmail.com

"Thanks a lot, can I give you something for that?"

Still working on the site structure, but the covers I've currently completed are uploaded and accessible from the DVD Covers menu.

In coming days, I'll be tinkering with the layout, as well as putting up some documents about how to create and use covers. I'll also be setting up an anonymous ftp, so that contributors can upload their covers for hosting and posting.

Since this site is my way of partially giving back to the community (and indirectly, to BBI, the masters of the known universe), I'm always interested in what you want. DVD Labels? Slim-case covers? Forum for discussing cover creation? By registering for an account, you can post comments on articles, as well as the actual covers. Let us know what you want.

This site is for you (if this site was just for me, it'd have a lot more pictures of Ann-Margret and cordless drills), so let yourself be heard.
